About Grove

Grove is a free, local discovery site for NJ and NY families. Library storytimes, park programs, town rec classes, free museum days — pulled together from dozens of public calendars so you don't have to check them all.

Why Grove exists

Grove was built by a first-time mom who spent too many hours searching for local activities and kept hitting the same walls: ads, expired listings, and social feeds that swallowed time and gave nothing back. Ask an AI assistant and you get recommendations for venues that have closed, programs that don't exist, events that already happened.

Free and community-run programming is genuinely hard to find online. Libraries and parks departments don't have marketing budgets — their calendars are buried, their websites outdated. And in a new neighborhood, if you don't already know a parent who knows, you miss it entirely. That word-of-mouth network takes years to build.

Grove is what that parent-who-knows would tell you — for everyone who just moved to town.

What makes us different

Most kids' activity sites push paid classes and camps. Grove digs up the free and community-runstuff — storytimes, park programs, town rec classes — scattered across a dozen sites nobody has time to check. Our goal is to replace the five open browser tabs you use to plan a weekend.

How it works

Grove pulls from public library calendars, parks and recreation department schedules, town event feeds, and community organization pages. Listings are updated automatically from live source calendars. Spot something wrong or missing? Let us know — we fix it fast.
