Family Activities in Maplewood

We end up at the Memorial Park duck pond more than I'd like to admit. It's a five-minute outing that stretches to forty when the baby decides he likes the geese. The Maplewood Memorial Library on Baker Street carries the weekday calendar: storytimes, craft hours, kids book clubs, a summer reading program that actually runs deep. South Mountain Reservation forms the western edge of town for a longer outing, with playground access on the Millburn side. The downtown is walkable enough that a Saturday morning fits one stroller loop. Stroller-friendly through the village; the reservation trails get rough past the loop road.
