Family Activities in Montclair

By the first Thursday of any month, half the families we know are at the Montclair Art Museum. Free First Thursdays are the single best deal in the area, and the museum runs kids studio classes the rest of the week for ages roughly 3 and up. The Montclair Public Library on South Fullerton handles weekday storytimes and music programs, with the Bellevue branch picking up the northern end of town. Brookdale Park covers the bigger weekend playground and seasonal festivals. Anderson Park is the closer in-town green. Tuesday mornings are the quietest time at either branch.
