Family Activities in Summit

Reeves-Reed Arboretum is the easy first answer to a Summit Saturday. The daffodil display in spring runs about three weeks and the kids workshops fill within a day of opening. The Summit Public Library on Maple Street carries the weekday calendar: baby lap-sit, toddler storytimes, craft drop-ins, a steady summer reading program. Briant Park is the closest playground for under-twos. The aquatic center is a summer-only line on the calendar, not a weekly stop. Last spring we did the daffodils, lunch on Springfield, and storytime back-to-back, and that's still the template we use when family visits.
